I gave my mom a spider plant for Mother's Day. I know, sweet. I was in 8th Grade and I was so excited to get her a nice gift. It was the first houseplant she had after we moved to Buffalo. She kept this plant alive throughout the years and now I have spider babies from it! Anyway, long story short...
I now have my own house plant collection, so when you run out of surface space the plants need to go somewhere else, right? Well, I got the idea of making my own plant hangers inspired by old macrame pattern books. It's cool to browse through the books and make something by hand. I grew up doing that with my grandma. She used to knit and sew a lot. My favorite memory was going through her sewing patterns and watching her make clothing from them.
My mission is simple:I want to ignite your passion for plant collecting so that your home looks as stunning as you do in it.
It's no joke – plants make people happy. They improve mental health and well-being by reducing stress, enhancing mood, and increasing productivity. Their presence also provides a calming visual impact and a connection to nature. Also, they're just super freaking cool.
In addition to crafting more macrame hangers and curating unique plants and pots, a significant portion of my sales directly benefits the local community by supporting craft shows, festivals, and small businesses.
When you shop at The Plant Outfitter, you're not just making a purchase; you're making a meaningful contribution to the Buffalo community and the creators that make it so special.
Let me help you become a plant hoarder just like me.
